SMILE FOUNDATION

Smile Foundation is national level development organisation, working for underprivileged children and youth through various education, healthcare, livelihood and advocacy programmes across 21 states of India. Smile Foundation is working with more than 100 grassroots NGOs under its Social Venture Philanthropy (SVP) model.

IWA and Smile Foundation have come together to present a unique, one of a kind musical programme where Whistling and Fusion performances will be showcased before the audience for the very first time in Indian History. This programme will have highly talented whistlers (gents and ladies) of IWA and the maestros of the Fuzikk group led by Aditya Kalyanpur (disciple of Ustad Alla Rakha), performing on stage. The programme is to be held on Jan 3rd 2009 at the Dadar Matunga Cultural Centre at 6.00pm

The programme will showcase a wide genre of music ranging from the unforgettable lilting melodies of Rafi Sahab, Ashaji, Lataji, Kishore Sahab to the very recent super hit songs by Sonu Nigam, KK and one of the most unique and mesmerising Fusion performance with 5 different Indian classical musical instruments.

Keeping in sync with the common vision of IWA and Smile Foundation this show will be a fund-raiser and the entire profits of this show will be utilised for the benefit of under privileged children, in collaboration with Smile Foundation
